Growing up, I was fortunate to experience the best of both Western and Asian cultures, especially the distinctive cuisines. Like most, I delight in biting into a big, juicy hamburger and digging into finger-licking-fall-off-the-bone barbeque ribs. But also, other favorites are the buttery Buta Kakuni (Japanese style Soy Braised Pork Belly) and the savory, deep Kalbi Jjim (Korean style Braised Short Rib). And, of course, Korean barbeque.
Over the years, I have thought much about how I could share the incredible flavors, textures and the experience of Asian style meat dishes. As luck would have it, a few key favorable events made it possible for me to pursue my dream.
I’m very excited to bring to you truly enjoyable, incredible Asian style meats and meat products.

With 20+ years in the food business, James first entered the food industry manufacturing Asian style products in all 3 categories: frozen, chilled and shelf stable. Continuous growth lead to an equity partnership with CJ CheilJedang Corp of Korea. Retained as its CEO, exceeded yearly sales and profit budgets and the successful branded product entry into the mainstream channel. Subsequently, as the COO and interim CEO for all of CJ’s US food business in all channels (grocery, club, foodservice, industrial, ethnic), oversaw the integration of its 3 disparate US entities. Following the exit of the partnership, joined a Private Equity owned entity to establish its Asian appetizer business. Within 1 year, designed, built and operated a USDA plant and placed the newly developed products into Costco, Whole Foods and foodservice.
When James isn’t busy building and growing businesses, he enjoys traveling and tasting new foods with his wife and 2 children.
